Singular and Plural Nouns 单数和复数的名词

（Plural）复数名词分为2种：规则变化和不规则变化 

A）规则变化有5种情况:    1. 一般情况名词后直接加 “s”

         s在清辅音后读[ s ]，在浊辅音和元音后读[ z ]，例如:
    one book             ---        two books                两本书
    one chair             ---        three chairs              三把椅子
    one computer      ---       four computers        四台电脑

    2. 以 s、x、ch、sh、ss 结尾的名词后直接加 “es”
         es在清辅音后读[ is ]，在浊辅音和元音后读[ iz ]，例如:
    one bus                 ---      two buses               两辆公共汽车    
    one box                 ---      two boxes               两个盒子
    one watch              ---      two watches           两块手表
    one dish                ---      many dishes           很多碟子
    one brush              ---      a lot of brushes      很多刷子
    class                      ---      classes        

    3. 以 y 结尾，而 y 前是辅音字母的名词去 y 加 “ies”

         ies读[ i: z ]，例如:
    one city                 ---      two cities               两辆城市    
    one family             ---      two families           两个家庭
    one baby              ---      two babies             两个宝宝
    one lady                ---      two ladies              两位女士
    one fly                   ---      two flies                 两只苍蝇
    one country           ---      two countries        两个国家

  【例外情况】: 以 y 结尾，而 y 前是元音字母（a，e，i，o，u）的名词

    直接加 “s”

    one boy                ---       many boys               很多男孩
    one toy                 ---       many toys                 很多玩具
    one day                ---       two days                   两天
    one monkey         ---       two monkeys            两只猴子
    one donkey          ---       two donkeys             两个毛驴

    4. 以 f 或 fe 结尾的，去掉 f 或 fe 加 “ves”
         ves读[ vz ]，例如:
    one leaf               ---      two leaves            两片叶子    
    one knife             ---      two knives             两把刀子
    one wife              ---      two wives              两个妻子
    one wolf              ---      two wolves            两只狼
    one shelf             ---      two shelves          两个架子
    one thief              ---      two thieves           两个小偷
    one scarf             ---      two scarves          两条围巾

    5. 以 o 结尾的，直接加 “s”         s读[ z ]，例如:
    one photo           ---      two photos           两张照片    
    one piano           ---      two pianos            两架钢琴
    one zoo              ---      two zoos               两个动物园
    one kilo              ---       two kilos               两公斤

    【例外情况】: 以 o 结尾，直接加 “es”    
    one tomato        ---       two tomatoes       两个西红柿
    one potato         ---       two potatoes        两个土豆

    one mango        ---       two mangoes        两个芒果

   ** 也可以记作有生命加 “es”，没有生命加 “s” **

   B）、不规则变化要逐个记忆:   
   1. one child           ---       two children          两个孩子
   2. one foot            ---       two feet                 两只脚
   3. one tooth          ---       two teeth               两颗牙
   4. one man           ---       two men                两个男子
   5. one woman       ---      two women            两个女人
   6. one mouse       ---       two mice               两只老鼠
   7. one goose        ---       two geese            两只鹅
   8. one fish             ---       two fish                 两条鱼
   9. one sheep        ---       two sheep             两只羊
  10. one deer         ---       two deer               两只鹿

  11. one ox             ---       two oxen
